Background
Tony Reaves II is a defense industry operator and government contractor who works directly with the Defense Logistics Agency. He understands military compensation from both sides of the table — as a contractor supporting the Department of Defense, and as someone who helps service members and their families make sense of their pay, allowances, and benefits.
Tony built the free Military Pay Calculator after watching too many junior enlisted members and NCOs make major career decisions — reenlistment, separation, civilian job offers — without understanding the full value of their military compensation package. Tax-free BAH alone can be worth $20,000–$35,000 per year in civilian-equivalent salary, and most tools never show that number.
